The Daily Grind is a production milling facility using the hammer mill (impact grinding) process to grind grain and beans into 100% whole grain/bean flours and meals. All flours and meals are made to order: "We store grain not flour." "Community Farm of Ann Arbor is a C.S.A. (see glossary). We sell mainly to our members. We try to fill our membership by June 1st. Good years often offer an abundance of green beans, tomatoes, and herbs.When we have a surplus we sell wherever possible--co-ops, grocery stores, and the farmers' market. We use biodynamic principles at Community Farm. We grow beets, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, melons, collards, corn, cukes, eggplant, garlic, beans, kale, leeks, lettuce, scallions, parsnips, peas, peppers, potatoes, pumpkin, radishes, rutabaga, spinach, brussel sprouts, winter and summer squash, tomatoes, turnips, and herbs." Green Acres Farm is located on 42 acres of woods and meadows between Ann Arbor and Dexter, Michigan. We have been growing and marketing Shiitake mushrooms at Green Acres for 8 years. We also grow and sell a wide variety of organic vegetables and flowers. Visitors to the farm are very welcome, but please let us know that you are coming so that we will be here to show you around. We are located one mile north of I-94, exit 169 (Zeeb Road). Travel north on Zeeb for about 3/4 mile to Marshall Road.
